Annual Accreditation and Accreditation
With the objective of simplifying the communication and monitoring of Training Programs in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, Ultrasonography and Level 4, the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) developed, from its Teaching Commission, Improvement and Residence (CEAR), an electronic platform that aims to bring countless improvements. It manages the data of the training services, in addition to a better interaction between the coordinators and CEAR.
For this reason, it is essential that, annually, the coordinators of these programs do, through the CEAR Portal, complete and / or update all information and documentation relevant to the accreditation of training services. As previously informed through the Accreditation Standards posted on our website, since 2018, we started to charge services accredited exclusively by CBR (improvement courses) an annual fee that aims to help cover part of the costs of surveys, secretarial services and the processing of documents related to training courses. Services accredited exclusively by CBR in public institutions (federal, state and municipal) are exempt from this fee, in addition to all services accredited by MEC.
Check out the rules:
- Deadline for annual accreditation (validation) - until 04/30/2020.
- Deadline for requesting new accreditations - until 06/30/2020.
The electronic form is available on the CBR portal (click here to be directed), to review and update all data and documentation of the Service, and make the payment of the annual fee in the amount of R$ 520 for perfecting enrolled in a vacancy accredited by CBR. click here and check the standards for this process.
New Residents / Improvements - Level 1 must register within March 02 to 31 on the CBR website in the “Resident Registration - Level 1” area. We ask you to guide them to proceed with this registration within this period.
Residents / Improvements - Level 2 and 3 should update their registration directly on the CBR portal in the “Member Space” within March 02 to 31.
Documents to be inserted:
- For the purposes of registering and assessing the institution's regularity, the following documents are requested and must be attached to the CEAR Portal:
- Articles of Association / Bylaws
- Health Surveillance Permit
- City Hall Permit
- Technical responsibility to the Regional Medical Council
- Legal Entity Registration with the Federal Revenue Service (CNPJ Card)
- National Health Establishment Register (CNES)
Partner institutions of the service:
These are all clinics and / or hospitals in which the activities of the training program coordinated by the Service are carried out.
All data from the partner institutions of the Service (Company Name, CNPJ, full address, clinical staff and structure) must be informed. In order to improve the whole process, this field, which is not required at this time, will be required in the next update.
Check the situation of the clinical staff of the service:
We remind you that, according to the accreditation standards, it is mandatory that 100% of the clinical staff of the Service be associated with the CBR.
Services accredited exclusively by MEC:
Services with programs accredited exclusively by MEC must also register on the electronic platform, as this will facilitate communication with CBR and the disclosure of residents' performance in annual tests. There will be no charge for the R$ 520 fee for these Services.
We count on your collaboration and reiterate our total willingness for further clarification.

The CBR Committee on Teaching, Improvement and Medical Residency informs that since 2018, new accreditations and / or the increase of vacancies in training programs in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging have been canceled. This is due to the beginning of the process of reviewing the RDDI training models, the relationship with the National Medical Residency Commission (CNRM) and with the MEC residency programs.
