Annual Accreditation and Accreditation

With the objective of simplifying the communication and monitoring of Training Programs in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, Ultrasonography and Level 4, the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) developed, from its Teaching Commission, Improvement and Residence (CEAR), an electronic platform that aims to bring countless improvements. It manages the data of the training services, in addition to a better interaction between the coordinators and CEAR.

For this reason, it is essential that, annually, the coordinators of these programs do, through the CEAR Portal, complete and / or update all information and documentation relevant to the accreditation of training services. As previously informed through the Accreditation Standards published on our website, since 2018, we started to charge for services accredited exclusively by CBR (improvement courses) an annual fee that aims to help cover part of the costs of surveys, secretarial services and the processing of documents related to training courses. Services accredited exclusively by CBR in public institutions (federal, state and municipal) are exempt from this fee, in addition to all services accredited by MEC.

Check out the rules:
- Deadline for annual re-accreditation (validation) - extended until 7/31/2020.
- Deadline for requesting new exclusive accreditations for Fellows and Ultrasonography - until 07/31/2020.

Registrants / updates of interns and residents

In view of the current situation, we inform you that the deadline has been extended for Level 1 apprentices and residents to complete their registration with CBR, as well as for other levels to update their information on the College website.
The deadline will be until 07/31/2020 and, this time, we warn that registrations will not be accepted after this deadline, as this information impacts on other processes related to Teaching Services.
In addition, we reinforce that this procedure is the responsibility of each apprentice / resident and that this registration is essential for the student to be able to enroll in the annual resident assessments promoted by CBR.
We ask that everyone make these registrations / updates as soon as possible, to avoid future problems.

Partner institutions of the service:
These are all the clinics and / or hospitals in which the activities of the training program are developed under the coordination of the Service. All data of the Service's partner institutions must be informed (Corporate Name, CNPJ, full address, clinical staff and structure). In order to improve the entire process, this field, which is not mandatory at the moment, will be required in the next update. Check the situation of the clinical staff of the service.

Services accredited exclusively by MEC:
Services with programs accredited exclusively by MEC must also register on the electronic platform, as this will facilitate communication with CBR and the disclosure of residents' performance in annual tests. There will be no charge for the R$ 520 fee for these Services.

We count on your collaboration and reiterate our total willingness for further clarification.

The CBR Committee on Teaching, Improvement and Medical Residency informs that since 2018, new accreditations and / or the increase of vacancies in training programs in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging have been canceled. This is due to the beginning of the process of reviewing the RDDI training models, the relationship with the National Medical Residency Commission (CNRM) and with the MEC residency programs. Accreditation for Ultrasonography and Fellowship / Level 4 training programs remains available.
