Today, CBR President Dr. Manoel de Souza Rocha, released on video the current status of Bill 3661 of 2012 (PL 3661\/2012) and the important performance of CBR on the subject.<\/p>\n
Over the years, PL 3661\/2012 has been modified through substitutes. In its initial proposal, it allowed the performance of ultrasound examinations by non-medical professionals. However, due to the work of different directorates of the CBR, a consensus was reached that performing the ultrasound examination is a medical act and, as such, the prerogative of physicians.<\/p>\n
Within the legislative process of the aforementioned project, a public hearing was held yesterday in the Chamber of Deputies, in which the CBR reiterated its defense that carrying out the ultrasound examination is a medical act.<\/p>\n
