{"id":27481,"date":"2019-11-13T17:29:18","date_gmt":"2019-11-13T19:29:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cbr.org.br\/?p=27481"},"modified":"2025-03-25T15:09:07","modified_gmt":"2025-03-25T18:09:07","slug":"cbr-celebra-dia-do-radiologista-e-dia-internacional-da-radiologia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cbr.org.br\/en\/cbr-celebra-dia-do-radiologista-e-dia-internacional-da-radiologia\/","title":{"rendered":"CBR celebrates Radiologist&#039;s Day and International Day of Radiology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>On November 8th, Radiologist&#039;s Day was celebrated, honoring the date <\/em><em>in which physicist Wilhelm Conrad R\u00f6ntgen discovered the existence of x-rays in 1895<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The International Day of Radiology (IDOR) is celebrated worldwide by an initiative created by <em>European Society of Radiology (ESR)<\/em>, together with the <em>Radiological Society of North America (RSNA)<\/em> It is <em>American College of Radiology (ACR)<\/em>, and supported by various entities and societies around the world. On this day, Radiologist&#039;s Day is also celebrated in Brazil, following the decree of Law 13.118\/2015, honoring and recognizing professionals in the area.<\/p>\n<p>In Brazil, Dr. Ronaldo Magalh\u00e3es Lins, member of the CBR, professor of musculoskeletal ultrasound, radiologist from Belo Horizonte and radiologist of the medical council of the national men&#039;s soccer team, was chosen for the interview as a specialist in Brazil. \u201cThe role of the radiologist is fundamental in the sports medical team, but the multidisciplinary evaluation of an athlete comes first\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n<p>The full interview is available on the CBR website. With the title \u201cWhat makes you sweat your shirt for radiology?\u201d, the publications engaged followers to share their commitment to the profession.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the \u201cCBR at IDOR 2019\u201d promotion was also created for the public to celebrate this important date. Instagram users published, until November 7th, a creative photo that referred to the theme in their work environment, with the hashtags #CBRnoIDOR2019 and #IDOR2019. The winner was Dr. \u00c9rika Watanabe, with the photo \u201cRadiomesa\u201d.
