The CBR has received, with regret, the news of the passing of Dr. Dakir Louren\u00e7o Duarte. Born in 1928, Dr. Dakir pioneered the use of breast imaging as a diagnostic subspecialty and pioneered the implementation of mammography in the country. He was the first coordinator of the CBR Mammography Commission.<\/p>\n
