The video is available in its entirety on Workplace and on the official CBR YouTube channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GIS featured a lecture by Professor Paulo Mazzoncini de Azevedo Marques, from the Center for Imaging Sciences and Medical Physics, Department of Medical Imaging, Hematology and Clinical Oncology, Faculty of Medicine of Ribeir\u00e3o Preto (FMRP), University of S\u00e3o Paulo ( USP). The activity coordinator was Marcelo Costa Oliveira, with general coordination by Alexandra Monteiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paulo Mazzoncini explained that \u201cwhen we talk about radiomics, we are talking about pattern recognition, which is the ability to detect arrangements of features or data that provide information about a given system or data set\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe term radiomics <em>radiomics<\/em>) can be understood as the extraction of quantitative data from medical images in comparison with genomic data (exome, transcriptome, etc.) and proteome to improve monitoring and therapeutic conduct\u201d, declared the professor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He pointed out that \u201cradiomics has established itself as an efficient tool to provide diagnostic and prognostic support for precision medicine, based on quantitative biomarkers extracted from imaging tests produced in clinical routine\u201d.
