The three residents covered by the ESOR-CBR 2024 Scholarship Program received the certificate on June 14, 2024 in a hybrid format ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Col\u00e9gio Brasileiro de Radiologia e Diagn\u00f3stico por Imagem (CBR) in S\u00e3o Paulo (SP). During the delivery ceremony, Dr. Cibele Carvalho \u2013 President and Dr. Ronaldo Baroni \u2013 Scientific Director were present. For Bayer, supporter of the program, Dr. Daniela Pupo, medical manager of radiology at Bayer. The winners of the scholarships offered by the European School of Radiology (ESOR) were the doctors: Mateus Esmeraldo, Renato Toshio and V\u00edtor Carminatti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be selected for the scholarship in Europe, doctors had to go through a selection process initially defined by their scores in the Annual Assessment of Residents and Graduate Students in 2024, in addition to undergoing a curricular analysis carried out entirely by ESOR. Winners will have the opportunity to follow a highly qualified residency program in Europe, recommended by ESOR and in the subspecialty chosen by them. The winners will receive an amount of R$20 thousand, offered by Bayer, to subsidize their travel, accommodation, food and health insurance expenses, as the training will be offered free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the certificate delivery ceremony, the recipients heard words of encouragement from College representatives. Dr. Cibele Carvalho \u2013 President of the College made a point of talking about the appreciation of radiologist doctors: \u201cWe are radiologists, we know a lot about medicine, and we need to value this, including seeking remuneration that corresponds to all this performance that you have demonstrated this moment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Renato Toshio is from Presidente Prudente, in the interior of S\u00e3o Paulo, graduated from Unifesp and does his residency at USP's HC. He chose to do his internship at King's College Hospital, in London, United Kingdom, in the area of Musculoskeletal. The doctor was grateful for the opportunity to participate in the program: \u201cI would like to thank CBR for its commitment to carrying out this program, for maintaining good contact with the European Society and with Bayer. The program really encourages a lot, both to do scientific research and to continue studying and gives the opportunity to learn about radiology internationally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Mateus Esmeraldo graduated from the Federal University of Cear\u00e1 \u2013 Sobral and does his residency at the HC of USP. The doctor will do his internship in the area of Neuroradiology, in Cambridge, England. He said that it is a dream come true: \u201cIt is a dream come true, I always wanted to have an experience outside of research, it is an area that in S\u00e3o Paulo we have a very strong niche, but we cannot limit ourselves. just one country.\u201d The doctor added: \u201cHaving this experience now, at the end of the residency, I believe it was the perfect moment.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. V\u00edtor Carminatti is from S\u00e3o Paulo (SP), graduated from USP and is doing his residency at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. The doctor chose the area of pediatrics, at Guy's & St Thomas hospital, in London, United Kingdom. He talks about the importance of getting an exchange at this point in your career: \u201cBeing able to do this process at the end of your residency makes a big difference when we enter the job market.
