The initiative takes place during the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA), between May 19 and 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting aims to discuss and mobilize support for the World Health Assembly (WHA) Resolution on <em>Strengthening Medical Imaging Capacity<\/em>, with a special focus on developing countries. This measure is essential to improve the control of chronic non-communicable diseases, in line with the principles of universal health coverage advocated by the WHO,\u201d highlights the president of the CBR, Dr. Rubens Chojniak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Resolution proposes a series of initiatives to facilitate access to imaging exams, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Infrastructure investments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduction of medical equipment costs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparation of guidelines and public policies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementation of quality and management programs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continuous professional training and qualification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The strategic role of the CBR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Chojniak, CBR\u2019s participation in the event is strategic for Brazil and for national radiology. \u201cThe recognition of medical imaging as a vital element in the diagnosis and treatment of communicable and non-communicable diseases, traumatic injuries and other conditions reinforces CBR\u2019s mission to strengthen radiology throughout Brazil,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cbr.org.br\/en\/cbr-estara-presente-na-feira-hospitalar\/\">+Read more: CBR will be present at the Hospital Fair<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to contributing to global discussions, the CBR will have the opportunity to articulate solutions applicable to the Brazilian reality, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Technology financing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost reduction;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Innovation in access and management;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adaptation of policies to the Unified Health System (SUS) and the private sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Partnerships and international protagonism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will bring together representatives from several countries and international organizations, such as RAD-AID, ISR and WFNMB.
