This October, Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR)<\/mark><\/strong>The Brazilian College of Radiology (CBR) promoted several activities aimed at raising awareness and combating breast cancer. To kick off the month in style, on October 1st, 2025, the CBR's monthly webinar addressed the topic: "What have we done to reduce breast cancer mortality in our country?"<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Solidarity Radiology<\/mark><\/strong> This campaign aims to increase awareness of the importance of early breast cancer diagnosis and provide access to mammograms for low-income women. More than 1,000 mammograms were donated and will be performed between October and December 2025 in more than 10 Brazilian states. The project was led by the Cultural Commission with the support of the National Mammography Commission (CNM-CBR) and involved partnerships with more than 35 clinics across Brazil.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O CBR Cultural Podcast<\/mark><\/strong> It also received two special episodes for Pink October: episode 48 \u201cSolidarity Radiology \u2013 Pink October<\/mark><\/strong>, which featured the participation of Drs. Ivie Braga de Paula \u2013 radiologist, coordinator of the National Mammography Commission of the CBR (CNM) and member of the Cultural Commission of the CBR, and Luciane St\u00fcpp de Freitas \u2013 radiologist, member of the Cultural Commission and full member of the CBR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Episode 49, "Doctors in the Sert\u00e3o," recounted the experience of Dr. Mariana Ferri \u2013 a breast radiologist from UNIFESP and a full member of the CBR \u2013 in a project that provided training in vacuum-assisted biopsy to doctors in the city of Cuit\u00e9, located in the interior of Para\u00edba.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
