One of the biggest names in the specialty in the world, the Brazilian Dr. Nestor Müller will be honored at an event focused on thoracic Radiology in Barcelona, Spain. Conceived by local Dr. Tomás Franquet, the International Symposium What is most modern in chest imaging – A tribute to Nestor L. Müller – A life dedicated to Chest Radiology will take place on September 28th and 29th and will bring together several internationally recognized speakers in the field, including Brazilians Klaus Irion, Gustavo Meirelles, Isabela Silva and Arthur Soares Souza Júnior.
Currently, Dr. Nestor is Professor Emeritus of Radiology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, where he spent most of his career. “His personal influence extended far and wide and still remains with us. Your manner is calm and your creativity, intelligence and modesty are excellent. He has made enormous contributions to chest radiology,” extols Dr. Franquet. Throughout his career, more than 400 scientific articles were published and 16 books were written. As a visiting professor, Dr. Nestor has given several lectures internationally on chest radiology and radiology education. In addition, he has trained more than 50 fellows, who are practicing worldwide, many as professors at academic institutions.
