Who we are
The Brazilian College of Radiology and Image Diagnosis is a national entity that officially represents the specialty in Brazil by bringing together physicians specializing in Radiology and Image Diagnosis and those who use one of the CBR methods as a secondary activity.
Part of the Scientific Department of Radiology and Imaging Diagnosis of the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB), it is a non-profit civil association of an educational, scientific, cultural and social nature. Together with the AMB, it grants specialist titles and certificates in areas of expertise through annual assessments, making professionals need to prove their theoretical and practical knowledge and thus enabling an ever-increasing level of excellence for Radiology in Brazil . Associate physicians of the College perform diagnostic and treatment activities using one or more of the following methods:
- bone densitometry
- splanchnic Doppler
- Mammography
- neuroradiology
- Conventional and specialized radiodiagnosis
- pediatric radiology
- Interventional radiology and angioradiology
- MRI
- Computed tomography
- general ultrasound
- Ultrasonography in Gynecology and Obstetrics
Mission
Represent and defend the specialty and doctors working in Radiology and Diagnostic and Therapeutic Imaging, bringing together the affiliates for a uniform performance, in order to deliver services that add value to professional life, aiming at quality care with safety for the patient.
