“Educate CBR”! Discover this new moment in the College's educational actions

Aligned with its mission and vision, CBR brings yet another great novelty for radiologists throughout Brazil: “Educa CBR”, which marks the inauguration of a new moment in the educational actions offered by the institution.

The project was born from the important initiatives that the College has already been developing in the area of education with a focus on the training and updating of radiologists, enhancing them with attention to the two agents of the entire educational process: Professor and Student.

With regard to teachers, “Educa CBR” will work to awaken in teachers the desire to share and disseminate their knowledge, motivating them to join the College to work in favor of the specialty, generating value and building a legacy for the society.

Within this context, CBR will offer full support to partner teachers so that they have the process of preparing lesson plans facilitated and can dedicate themselves to moments of interaction with students.

The student will be able to take advantage of a methodology built to meet their desires, with great emphasis on learning through the analysis of clinical cases and other situations of professional reality.

All actions of “Educa CBR” consider the mutual influence between new and old generations. Therefore, learning mediated by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) will play an important role in the College's upcoming courses and actions, as well as the exchange of experiences will be valued, considerably expanding the mutual learning experience.

“Educa CBR” is based on four major conceptual pillars:

Active Education Methodologies: view of the student at the center of the Teaching and Learning process;

Andragogy (how adults learn): It favors the need to solve “problems”, a teaching and learning process focused on the development of a critical-analytical sense and not on unidirectional past theories.

Flipped Classroom (or flipped classroom): The student accesses content early (online) so that time in the classroom is optimized, providing prior knowledge about the content and interaction with colleagues to solve problems.

ABP - Problem-Based Learning: Learning through collaborative problem solving and in-depth interdisciplinary case discussions.

In practice

The CBR will have a Continuing Medical Education Center (CEMC), which will operate at its headquarters in São Paulo. CEMC will receive more frequent courses and face-to-face educational actions, as well as concentrate on the production of content that will be offered in an innovative virtual environment, providing greater reach of CBR's educational actions throughout Brazil.
