CBR is present at JPR 2019 with various activities

The Brazilian College of Radiology and Imaging Diagnosis was present in another edition of the Jornada Paulista de Radiologia (JPR2019), which reached its 49th edition.

The board had an intense schedule of strategic meetings to discuss matters of interest to the specialty, such as meetings with the coordinators of the various CBR commissions, with the Advisory Board, with the Events Commission, to discuss the Brazilian Congress of Radiology, among others. .

One of the highlights was the Full Board and Advisory Board meeting, led by the president, Dr. Alair Sarmet Santos, which was attended by several presidents of state societies. This meeting discussed, among other issues, the joint action of the CBR and state societies in favor of Brazilian Radiology. In addition, a video was recorded with all those present, which reinforced the invitation for all Brazilian radiologists to participate in the Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR19). Another important meeting held during the event was that of the Professional Defense Commission, led by Dr. Cibele Alves de Carvalho. In it, Dr. Cibele showed several of the numerous activities that have been carried out with the intense participation of the CBR, highlighting its important role in this area.

JPR was also the stage for the “Meeting of the Brazilian Association of Diagnostic Imaging Clinics (ABCDI)”. In the same model as in 2018, the meeting was attended by some associated clinics to discuss important points for the sector. The Doctor. Adelson André Martins, director of ABCDI, started the activities with a presentation of data, actions and future goals of the entity. Then, CBR's Economic Adviser, Carlos Moura, gave a brief lecture on the theme “Current Scenario of the Relationship between Health Operators and Diagnostic Imaging Radiology Providers”. Lastly, Dr. Ademar Paes Junior, former ABCDI director and current CBR Ombudsman, spoke about the challenges of a changing market.

The last activity in the official program of the board at the event was the “Meeting with the Commissions”, in which the president, Dr. Alair Sarmet Santos, reinforced the important work of these groups on the different fronts of the College.

Attendees who visited the CBR stand at JPR 2019 were able to find out about various news from the College, such as courses, benefits and activities that the institution has been carrying out, as well as take advantage of the Bi-Rads promotion, with a 25% discount only during the day .

In addition, 10 registrations for the Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR19) were raffled among the associated congressmen. The draw was held on Saturday, May 4th, and the result was announced on CBR social media.
