“We know that there are several challenges, challenges inherent to the country’s conditions, of inequality, socioeconomic, cultural, structural and human resources diversity. People in radiology are immersed in situations of medical practice in rudimentary conditions, and this in itself is already a challenge,” said the newly sworn-in President.
In his speech, Dr. Rubens Chojniak also addressed the importance of radiology for the healthcare sector: “Our specialty continues to grow rapidly both in terms of the number of procedures and complexity. Our work has a direct impact on the quality of healthcare and the sustainability of the healthcare system.”
