The board of the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) participated last Tuesday (05) and also Wednesday (06), in Brasília (DF), in scientific activities and the opening ceremony of the 2nd edition of the Brazilian Congress of Lung Cancer - Public Policies and Access. The event, organized by the Alliance to Fight Lung Cancer, runs until today, Thursday (07), at the B Hotel Convention Center, located on the Eixo Monumental, in the heart of Brasília.
"It's an honor to be at this event. This initiative began last year, when the first Congress was held here in Brasília. We are most fortunate to see that, despite its recent nature, we have received support in this endeavor, all thanks to the Alliance, which is made up of several medical specialty societies and aims to pool efforts, exchange experiences, and improve care for this disease in Brazil," emphasized CBR president Dr. Rubens Chojniak.
On the occasion, CBR's Director of International Relations, Dr. Ronaldo Baroni, also emphasized the importance of exchanging ideas, knowledge, and initiatives during the event and, above all, in the formation of the Alliance. "It's a pleasure to share this moment with colleagues. Discussions to form this Alliance began over a year ago, and CBR couldn't be left out. This event, therefore, has a political and scientific agenda, all in favor of fighting lung cancer," the specialist added.
