The Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) was represented by Dr. Fernando Morbeck, 2nd Secretary of the CBR, at the 18th National Congress of Radiology (CNR26) of the Portuguese Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (SPRMN).
The CNR was held in the city of Peniche, from May 14th to 16th, 2026. May 15th was marked by the session “SPRMN”. meets "Brazil", focusing on diagnostic reasoning, decision-making, and practical discussion based on images.
Dr. Luís S. Guimarães, representative of the Portuguese Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (SPRMN), said: “It was a session dedicated to the presentation of challenging and profoundly educational clinical cases of gastrointestinal and genitourinary pathology, designed to provide an intense learning experience.”
Dr. Morbeck mentions that his participation in CNR26: “Was a good opportunity for scientific exchange between colleagues from Portugal and Brazil, in a session focused on diagnostic reasoning, decision-making, and practical discussion based on imaging.”
Among the activities, there was the Uroradiology Case Competition, which awarded 3 people with registration for Atualiza27. The participation of Dr. Fernando Morbeck represents the weight of Brazilian Radiology in the world and the relevance of the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging to the global radiological community.
