The Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR), as the legitimate representative of the specialty in Brazil, actively participated in the 4th Brazilian Congress of General Medicine (CBMG 2026) of the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB).
During the three-day event, June 11-13, 2026, the CBR team was present at CBMG 2026, held at the Anhembi District in São Paulo (SP). The CBR booth was a space for assisting members and providing information to congress participants.
On the last day of CBMG 2026, June 13th (Saturday), the College led 3 (three) panels with current and relevant topics for radiologists, residents, and students. There were three sessions between 8:00 AM and 11:30 AM, coordinated by Dr. Rubens Chojniak, the current president of the CBR.
The panels highlighted a multidisciplinary interaction in patient diagnosis, with the radiologist playing an essential role in the process. Among the speakers were Dr. Mauricio Zapparoli, Scientific Director of the CBR, and invited doctors Gustavo Gomes Mendes, Claudia Carias, Ita Pfeferman Heilberg, Antonio Corrêa Lopes Neto, Maria Claudia Vieira Zapparoli, and Roberto Sasdelli Neto.
