The radiologist Dr. Hélio José Vieira Braga, current First Vice-President of the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR), received on Tuesday (August 11) the Wilton de Oliveira e Souza Medal of Merit, becoming the first non-legal professional and the first physician to be honored with the award.
Granted by Association of Magistrates of Bahia (AMAB), The medal is considered the highest distinction of the organization and is named after... Wilton de Oliveira e Souza, its first president. The award is intended for individuals who have made a significant contribution to the judiciary in Bahia or to the strengthening of the justice system.
This recognition highlights Dr. Hélio Braga's career and his role in building bridges between the health sector and the Judiciary.
In addition to holding the position of 1st Vice-President of CBR, Dr. Hélio Braga is a professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and regional director of Institutional Relations at a large private healthcare group in the country.
