The Federal Council of Medicine (CFM) swore in its federal councilors – full and alternate – elected for the 2024-2029 five-year term on Tuesday (October 1). As the highest authority in Brazilian medicine, the CFM will welcome the elected doctors to contribute their regional perspectives and professional experiences in the creation of regulations and standards that will define medical practice and patient care in Brazil in the coming years.

The Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) celebrated the election of two representatives of the specialty for this important activity. “The CBR is aligned with the CFM, an institution that plays a strategic role in the practice of medicine. Being part of the board is a unique opportunity to strengthen the relationship and increasingly include the specialty’s agenda in the national medical agenda,” comments Cibele Carvalho, president of the institution and alternate councilor elected by the state of Minas Gerais.
