As a result of the partnership between the institutions, the Jacques Sauvegrain Scholarship is offered by the CBR with the objective of providing one resident/research student per year to participate in the French Day of Radiology in the year following the last Annual Assessment of Residents/Researchers carried out by the School.
doctor Lucas de Pádua Gomes de Farias, at the time R3 at Hospital Alvorada, was the doctor selected in 2018. “These are opportunities that we pursue all the time during graduation and specialization training”, he says.
The Scholarship, which includes enrollment in the French Day of Radiology, five nights in a Parisian hotel to be defined by the SFR, a stipend of €350 (three hundred and fifty euros) and invitation to social events during the period of the congress, will be offered after the carrying out a selection process consisting of 3 (three) stages:
1. Pre-selection among the top 100 (one hundred) in the 2019 Annual Assessment for Residents and Graduates in Radiology and Imaging Diagnosis (Level 3).
2. Completion and submission of a questionnaire on academic background and fluency in the French language. The pre-selected resident physicians and pre-selected trainees will be notified via email and the top 10 (ten) ranked physicians who consider themselves able to apply for the scholarship, respond to the questionnaire and return it will be classified for the next stage.
3. Face-to-face interview with presentation of curriculum vitae printed in French during the Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR19), which will take place from October 10th to 12th, in Fortaleza/CE. The interview will be identical for all candidates, to assess vocabulary and fluency in French.
The scoring criteria are:
Annual Test – Weight 5;
Interview - Weight 3
Curriculum - Weight 2.
