Held between March 21st and 23rd, Atualiza25 was an absolute success. During the first day of the event (April 21st), members of the CBR board participated in the opening ceremony, including: Dr. Rubens Chojniak – President of the CBR, Dr. Maurício Zapparoli – Scientific Director of the CBR, Dr. Ronaldo Baroni – Director of International Relations and Dr. Linei Urban – Cultural Director of the CBR.
Dr. Maurício Zapparoli led the opening and invited members to participate in the session, where they spoke about CBR's participation in ECR 2025 and the presentation at 'ESR Meets Brasil'. The theme of the lecture was 'Radiology for a sustainable future: innovate, integrate, inspire', held on February 27th.
The President of the College highlighted the importance of the CBR representing Brazil at such an important event in Europe: “It was great. The participation of the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) in ECR 25 was another important step in our internationalization strategy. I believe we had an outstanding performance on several fronts, representing not only the College, but the entire Brazilian radiology community.” Dr. Rubens Chojniak also highlighted the College’s participation in ‘ESR Meets Brazil’ as a highlight: “During the panel, we were able to present the current state of Brazilian radiology, our activities, and share with the international community what we have been doing in terms of teaching, research and innovation. It was very enjoyable.”

The Director of International Relations, Dr. Ronaldo Baroni, also highlighted the CBR's participation in the Congress: “The European Congress was truly incredible, our participation was very cool, it was great to be able to show the best that Brazil has to offer as a country and as a radiologist”. The CBR representative also highlighted the theme of 'sustainability' presented during the CBR panel. It is worth noting that sustainability was the central theme of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR 2025).
The theme of sustainability in the school’s presentation was presented by Dr. Linei Urban – Cultural Director of CBR. During the doctor’s participation in the opening of Atualiza25, she spoke more about the topic: “More than a year ago, within the school, two committees came together (CADI and the sociocultural committee) to create the socio-environmental sustainability seal project, which aims to promote and value sustainability actions within the clinics.”
Immediately after the doctors participated in the opening of the event, the Radiological Case Marathon was held, with the Paraná Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Society (SRP) as the champion.
