The Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) has launched a new SIG for medical students, the 'SIG Radiology in Undergraduate Studies'. The first activity was held on June 24th at 8:00 pm (Brasília time) and had the theme: "AI in Radiology: Threat or Opportunity?" This edition was attended by several members of the CBR board, including Dr. Maurício Zapparoli – Scientific Director of the CBR; Dr. Fernando Morbeck – 2nd Secretary of the CBR; Dr. Ronaldo Baroni – Director of International Relations of the CBR; and Dr. Augusto Antunes – Director of Communications of the CBR.
This new Sig is an opportunity to learn, interact, and engage with Radiology from undergraduate level. The activity is entirely geared towards medical students and members of the Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Leagues. Sixth-year medical student Felipe Berg, from the Albert Einstein Israelite School of Health Sciences, comments on the school's initiative: "The initiative aims to promote learning, exchange experiences, and broaden the understanding of the role of radiology in medical practice." Berg adds: "It's an opportunity to learn from renowned experts and deepen knowledge that goes far beyond the classroom."
