The Brazilian Medical Association (AMB) recently released the update of the Operating Cost Unit present in the Hierarchical Brazilian Classification of Medical Procedures (CBHPM), which is an important reference in the Brazilian health market and also recognized by the supplementary health system for creating the Terminology Supplementary Health System (TUSS), in addition to being used as a requirement by the ANS for incorporation into the list of procedures.
AMB concluded by adopting the INPC/IBGE for the period, which corresponds to the index of 1.63% for correction in the reference values of medical services. In view of this, this readjustment percentage can be adopted as a reference from October 2017 for the CBHPM in effect. The Operating Cost was established at: 1 UCO = R$ 19.69.
