The Brazilian College of Radiology and Image Diagnosis (CBR), as the representative of the Inter-American College of Radiology (CIR) in Brazil, supports this important initiative. The program, which has the support of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the Guerbet laboratory, offers 10 training internship grants in different subspecialties. The scholarships will last for three months and will be held in recognized academic centers, between the second quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020. The scholarship will be US$ 3 thousand for travel and living expenses.
Applicants must be member radiologists of the CIR with care dedication or special interest in the area of Radiology of the fellowship they are applying for. It is worth mentioning that the grants are for trained radiologists and not for residents in the area.
Remembering that the physician, when joining the CBR, automatically becomes a member of the CIR, having access to some advantages such as discounts on courses and other activities. In this case, they can also apply for scholarships.
Interested parties should send the requested documents (below) to the email cir.admin@servimed.com.mx, until February 28th:
– Letter of recommendation from the radiology society in the country, assessing the quality of the applicant as a radiologist, his or her suitability and proof of membership in the society;
– Letter from the head of the service where he works, indicating the suitability of the applicant;
– Letter indicating the grant for which you are applying and your motivations (maximum one page);
– Brief curriculum including date of birth, nationality, place of work, specific areas of Radiology in which it operates, teaching work carried out and academic degree, if any (maximum one page);
The deadline to apply to the scholarship closes on February 28th, while the results will be released on March 18th.
