Attempted fraud through inspections in Diagnostic Imaging services
The Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) ALERT its associates, perceivers and persons responsible for imaging diagnosis services about the false inspection visits that took place in the last few days in the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
The fraud occurs through the request of false surveyors who use the name of the CBR in order to extract and gather information about the structure, available machines and security of the establishment for possible subtraction of goods.
The inspections in Diagnostic Imaging services are carried out only by the Commission for Teaching and Improvement in Medical Residency (CEAR) of CBR. CEAR/CBR is responsible for the accreditation or disqualification of improvement services in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging and General Ultrasonography.
We emphasize that we didn't perform visits to Diagnostic Imaging services and clinics without scheduling prior with sending signed letter by the CEAR/CBR coordinator and the submission of the full names/RG and function of the commission participants who will carry out the pre-scheduled visits.
