CBR 17: Resident Marathon and Photo Contest Highlights

The XLVI Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR 17) is approaching. The event organized annually by the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) will be held at the Expo Unimed Convention Center in Curitiba (PR), from October 12 to 14. Discounted entries must be made by the site of the event (www.congressocbr.com.br) until September 29th.

One of the main innovations of the last edition of the Brazilian Congress of Radiology, the Brazilian Marathon of Residents in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, competition of radiological knowledge, will be held again this year. The MBR 17, which requires separate registration, will consist of 43 questions and is scheduled for 12:10 pm on October 14, the last day of the event. The sponsorship is from Bayer Company.

Registration is free for Congress participants and must be made through the site of the event (www.congressocbr.com.br) until October 6th or on-site on the 12th. Teams of up to three participants can be registered, without the need to belong to the same institution or to be in the same year of formation. Two or more teams of the same service are also allowed.

With the theme “Black and White Vacations”, it seeks to promote the production of images that tell a story: they can come in journalistic form, or be abstract and creative, representing your ideas and thoughts, regardless of the environment or equipment. The Contest is open to all current CBR members, who will have the right to submit up to three photographs for evaluation. The analysis will be made by a judging committee.

The authors of the two best photographs will win registration for the XLVII Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR 18), which will take place in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) in October 2018. The result of the CBR Photography Contest will be announced on October 14. , during CBR 17, with the display of the result in the exhibition area of the finalists and the event's website (www.congressocbr.com.br), where you can also check the full regulation.
