CBR 17: Residents Marathon and Photo Contest are highlights

The XLVI Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR 17) is approaching. The event organized annually by the Brazilian College of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR) will be held at the Expo Unimed Convention Center, in Curitiba (PR), from October 12th to 14th. Discounted registrations must be made by site of the event (www.congressocbr.com.br) until the 29th of September. One of the main novelties of the last edition of the Brazilian Congress of Radiology, the Brazilian Marathon of Residents in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, a radiological knowledge competition, will be held again this year. “MBR 17”, which requires separate entries, will consist of 43 questions and is scheduled for 12:10 pm on October 14th, the last day of the event. Sponsorship is from the company Bayer. Registration is free for those registered for the Congress and must be done through the site of the event (www.congressocbr.com.br) until the 6th of October or, on site, on the 12th. Teams made up of up to three participants can register, without needing to belong to the same institution or be in the same training year. Two or more teams from the same service are also allowed. Another great novelty for participants is the Photo Contest. With the theme “Holidays in black and white”, it seeks to encourage the production of images that tell a story: they can come in journalistic form, or be abstract and creative, representing your ideas and thoughts, regardless of the environment or equipment. The Contest is open to all current CBR members, who will have the right to send up to three photographs to be evaluated. The analysis will be carried out by a judging commission. The authors of the two best photographs will win registration for the XLVII Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR 18), which will take place in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), in October 2018. The result of the CBR Photo Contest will be announced on October 14 , during CBR 17, with the display of the result in the finalists' exhibition area and on the event's website (www.congressocbr.com.br), where it is also possible to check the complete regulation.
