Telemedicine: CFM will receive contributions for Resolution No. 2227/18 until April 7

Since last Friday (8), the online platform of the Federal Council of Medicine has been online to collect suggestions for Resolution No. All doctors regularly enrolled in the Regional Councils of Medicine (CRMs) and entities representing the category can participate. In the case of entities, contributions must be sent by letter to the Federal Council of Medicine through the electronic address cfm@portalmedico.org.br. All contributions – from doctors and institutions – can be sent until April 7, 2019 (Sunday). Click here to access the platform and here to consult According to the Federal Council of Medicine, the resolution establishes that Brazilian doctors will be able to carry out online consultations, as well as telesurgeries and telediagnosis, among other forms of remote medical care. It is important to remember that the CFM already had a resolution dealing with telemedicine, Resolution No. 1643/2002, which was updated by No. 2227/2018.
