Brazilian Congress of Radiology returns to the Northeast in 2019
The XLVIII Brazilian Congress of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (CBR19) returns to the Northeast this year with many novelties. The traditional Brazilian Radiology event will take place from October 10th to 12th in the city of Fortaleza (CE), one of the main educational and personal training centers in the North and Northeast regions of the country. The Ceará Events Center was the venue chosen for this edition of the Congress. It is the most modern space of its kind in Latin America and the second largest in Brazil in terms of floor area, with 76,000 m². This year, congress participants will be able to check out a great novelty: in an unprecedented initiative, the CBR, through a partnership with the European Society of Radiology (ESR), will this year have the participation of 10 of the best international professors, carefully selected by CBR and ESR, in a program known as “The Best of European Congress of Radiology – The Best of ECR”. This means that, for the first time, the best of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) will be brought to Brazil, providing congress participants with a unique and very enriching experience. “ESR plans other editions of this event, but the Brazilian Congress of Radiology 2019 was given the primacy of receiving the first “The Best of ECR”, adds Dr. Valdair Muglia, director of the Scientific Committee of the XLVIII Brazilian Congress of Radiology. With numerous activities, this year the focus will be on current issues, such as the impact of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence in radiological practice. Other important topics to be addressed will be Professional Defense and Digital Health, with panels focusing on legal aspects, technological requirements and impact on the radiological class. In addition, following its mission and its commitment to medical training, a rich scientific program will be offered, with national and international professors.
