CBR Update Course reinforces its contribution to the radiology community

Activity considered a large decentralized congress took renowned speakers to various locations in Brazil

Held on March 22 and 23 in practically the entire national territory, the CBR 2019 Update Course, which this year reaches its 10th edition, once again reinforcing its important contribution to the radiological community. The activity focuses on continuing education and the qualification of professionals in the specialty, with high quality lecturers and a wide range of classes. Thus, the CBR Update Course is nationally known for being a decentralized congress, which takes place once a year. The event featured a video from Dr. Alair Sarmet Santos, president of CBR, in which he welcomed the participants and also invited everyone to the Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR19) in Fortaleza. The topics covered in the classes of this edition were diverse: Neuroradiology, Gynecological and Abdominal Radiology, Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Chest, Musculoskeletal, among many others. Lauro Aparecido de Lara Filho, radiologist for 30 years in Curitiba (PR) and former vice-president of the SRP, participated in the course in Joiville (SC) and highlighted the relevance of the activity for younger and more experienced people. “We just have to thank you for providing us with this meeting with excellent classes taught by doctors Marcelo Abreu and Luiz Ronan Marquez. There are about 70 people from the most varied subspecialties of Radiology, residents and more experienced radiologists interested in learning new things. Our thanks to the CBR and the societies for having us”, he highlighted. The course also received several residents. Dr. Amanda Longo Pizzolatti, R2 at Lamina Medicina Diagnóstica / DASA in Santa Catarina, participated for the first time and approved. “I would like to congratulate CBR and the societies involved for holding the event, which was very well organized, with very enlightening classes on the topics covered and very didactic speakers”, he pointed out. In Rio de Janeiro, Dr. Carolina Maroco, R1 at Santa Casa, reinforced that she wants to take advantage of all learning opportunities. “Usually, in these courses, there are great professionals who are present, renowned people. In addition, I found the clinical approach that was given in the classes very interesting, and not just Radiology itself, showing how important it is to associate the two”, he said. Already Dr. Rafael Bath, Ultrasonographer at Capdim, highlighted the schedule as a determining factor for participating. “I saw an interesting program, with a teacher who came from Paraná, showing a lot of knowledge and experience, so I decided to participate. It is important to always seek knowledge with these colleagues. All the lectures I attended added. They were quick, succinct and straight to the point”, he said. doctor Rafael also addressed the importance of exchanging experiences among participants. “The people who have been in the profession the longest serve as an example for residents and we also learn from them, as they bring a new 'gas'. This interaction is always very good”, he pointed out. Like the CBR, the state societies committed themselves to organizing the congress to offer doctors not only updating and learning, but also a moment of integration and exchange of experiences.
