Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Forum will be held in July, in a partnership between CBR and CFM

The event, which will have the theme “Radiological Protection”, will take place on July 5 (Friday), in Brasília, at the Auditorium of the Federal Council of Medicine. It will be an important milestone on the subject, enabling discussion with the CFM on the optimized and justified use of ionizing radiation in imaging exams, in practically all areas. Summary: Discussion on the large number of unjustified radiological examinations in the country, mainly considering the risk / benefit of ionizing radiation applications and the lack of optimization of studies in most radiological centers. Summary: Presentation of the general population's lack of knowledge about the real risks of ionizing radiation in imaging tests, especially if the benefits are weighed, justifying the existence of global initiatives for education in this regard.
