The Arthur Ramos Hospital, in the city of Maceió (AL), received the “Visiting Professor CBR” Program last Friday (22). Prof. doctor Manoel Rocha, from the Department of Radiology and Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine at USP, spent the whole day with the residents of the service, as the objective of the program is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences from the visit of a professor to educational activities in residency and improvement programs throughout Brazil.
With theoretical classes and case discussions, topics such as pancreatic adenocarcinoma, pancreatic cystic lesions, cystic lesions of the biliary tract and resectability criteria for cholangiocarcinomas were addressed.
“I spent the whole day with the residents of the service in a very relaxed environment in which we could have practical discussions, analyzing cases together”, says Dr. Manuel Rocha.
Both in Maceió and Recife, where Dr. Manoel was on the 15th of February for the same program, at the Hospital da Restauração, some physicians already professors at the institutions also participated in the proposed discussions.
