The CBR has received, with regret, the news of the passing of Dr. Dakir Lourenço Duarte. Born in 1928, Dr. Dakir pioneered the use of breast imaging as a diagnostic subspecialty and pioneered the implementation of mammography in the country. He was the first coordinator of the CBR Mammography Commission. The College reinforces its most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Dakir, as well as his deep gratitude for the contribution of a great master of Radiology.
