The time is coming for another European Congress of Radiology (ECR), which will take place from July 13th to 17th, in Vienna, Austria, again in full attendance. Brazilian radiology will again be represented by CBR directors and associates. To make this grandiose ECR 2022 even more remarkable, the CBR created the Meeting Point section, with tips for fellow radiologists to enjoy in Vienna in addition to the valuable attractions of the Congress. The theme of the week is: Secrets of Vienna.
PATHS OF NOBILITY
In guided tours, local guides go through more “hidden” attractions full of history in the city, such as places where the nobility lived and walked.
ARIK-BRAUER-HAUS
Another different tour in Vienna is to visit the residential building designed in the style of fantastic realism by the Austrian artist Arik Brauer.
VIENNA CATHEDRAL (STEPHANSDOM)
Vienna's most important religious symbol, with a very rich history, it was built on the ruins of a Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Stephen from 1147.
PESTSAULE
Column of mercy erected as a request for mercy in the midst of the Great Plague, in 1679, by Emperor Leopold I. It is one of the most famous and prominent pieces of sculpture in the city.
MARIA-THERESIEN PLATZ
With a large statue of the Empress Maria Teresa, the public square is a tip for strolling around enjoying the beautiful architecture and local landscape.
