With an extensive security protocol, the CBR Title Test has about 2,000 candidates

On November 8th, the International Day of Radiology and Radiologist Physician Day was celebrated, the Brazilian College of Radiology and Image Diagnosis (CBR) held the first edition of the 2020 Specialist Title Test in 12 Brazilian cities (Theoretical and Theoretical-practical).

The cities where they were held were Belém (PA), Belo Horizonte (MG), Brasília (DF), Curitiba (PR), Florianópolis (SC), Fortaleza (CE), Porto Alegre (RS), Recife (PE), Ribeirão Preto (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Salvador (BA) and São Paulo (SP).

“Due to the pandemic caused by the new Coronavirus, this year’s test schedule has been changed. However, committed to the specialty and aware of the importance of this exam, both for the doctor and for the patient, CBR performed the exam adopting a broad safety protocol. As in previous editions, we were careful in preparing the questions to ensure an adequate test, capable of selecting candidates who have sufficient knowledge to obtain the title of specialist”, comments Dr. Túlio Macedo, coordinator of the Admission and Degree Commission.

On the Friday before the exam, November 6th, the CBR sent an e-mail to all registered candidates with some important reminders, including emphasizing the importance of visiting the “Candidate Access” area to check your location and proof address. This communication also included a video recorded by Dr. Alair Sarmet Santos, President of the College, in which he reinforced CBR's commitment to holding the test and wished all candidates good luck.

Wearing a mask, changing masks every two hours, distancing between candidates with a larger number of rooms, among many other safety measures were adopted, which contributed to the climate of safety and comfort among the participants.

The Doctor. Saulo Jorge Souza Parreira, who held the test in Belo Horizonte (MG), commented on his expectations and participation. “After approximately 20 years working with Ultrasound, many work commitments and few hours available to study, I consider my participation positive, as well as the result”.

In addition, it reinforced the positive points of the race itself and the organization. “I would like to congratulate the CBR for the comprehensiveness and objectivity of the test, as well as the precautions regarding the pandemic with rooms with few colleagues and the concern with prevention”, he said.

Already Dr. Gladis Isabel Yampara Guarachi, who took the test in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), dedicated a few hours of study with online resources, always reconciling it with work. “I think the test was well prepared, it wasn't that complex in my opinion”, he pointed out.

The templates were made available the day after the test, at 12:00, on the CBR website. The next step, which is the Practical-Oral Title Test and Handset Practice will be held in São Paulo (SP) on December 5th.
