New board of directors of the Society of Minas Gerais takes office

[caption id="attachment_17719" align="alignleft" width="410"] Sergio Andrade, Antonio Cioffi, Fernando Mendonça, Gabriel de Almeida, Samuel Flam, Manoel Rocha, Cibele Carvalho, Ronaldo Lins, Fábio Guerra, Hermann Von Tiesenhausen and Heli Freitas[/caption] She was sworn in on May 12, at the Medical Association of Minas Gerais (AMMG), in Belo Horizonte (MG), the new board of the Society of Radiology and Image Diagnosis of Minas Gerais (SRMG). Dr. Cibele Alves de Carvalho, who is also director of Professional Defense at the Brazilian College of Radiology and Image Diagnosis (CBR), was re-elected president of the Minas Gerais entity and will remain in office for another three years (2020). In his inauguration speech, he recalled the foundation of the then SRM in 1967, which had as its first president Dr. Javert de Barros. In addition, he highlighted the technological changes since then and the various specialties within Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, but reiterated that “our Medical Act is not the act of the machine, and our main objective is to take care of our patient in the best possible way” . The ceremony was attended by members of the SRMG and several authorities in the medical field: the president of the CBR, Dr. Manoel de Souza Rocha; The Doctor. Fernando Luiz Mendonça, president of the Union of Doctors of Minas Gerais; doctor Samuel Flam, president of Unimed-BH; doctor Sergio Ribeiro Andrade, president of the Cooperative of Diagnostic Imaging Physicians of Minas Gerais; doctor Antonio Carlos Cioffi, president of the National Federation of Medical Cooperatives (Fencom); doctor Ronaldo Magalhães Lins, Southeast Vice President of CBR; Dr. Heli Teodomiro de Paula Freitas, member of the Advisory Board of SRMG and former president of the Society.
