Hands On in General Ultrasound and Ultrasound in Gynecology and Obstetrics, in addition to the Intensive Update Course in Ultrasound of the Musculoskeletal System, still have spots available
Attendees of the Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR19) consider this a traditional specialty event, mainly due to its rich scientific program. This year, in addition to classes with renowned national and international professors, also due to the initiative Best of ECR, from the European Society of Radiology, which will bring important European professors to Brazil, the event will also feature an excellent range of courses, which will offer, in addition to theory, practical teaching.
Among the highlights are the courses hands on of General Ultrasound and Ultrasound in Gynecology and Obstetrics.
Both will be offered in two modules, with “Doppler of the Carotid and Vertebral Arteries” being the subject of the first module of General Ultrasound and “Ultrasonography of the Abdominal Wall” the subject of the second module.
The course coordinator, Dr. Wagner Iared, reinforces that the hands on of CBR19 will be eminently practical, leaving more time for students to practice acquiring images of structures of interest with their own hands. “We are going to shorten the theoretical introduction and guide teachers to prioritize and encourage students to acquire the images themselves. As there are always some points of attention or difficulties, the teachers will guide them to the point of literally, if necessary, taking the student's hand. As always, we have a partnership with the best manufacturers that will provide excellent equipment, with the most suitable presets and transducers for the demonstrations, in addition to models with the physical type and preparation suitable for the evaluation of interest”, he comments.
The Ultrasound in Gynecology and Obstetrics modules will be “Ultrasound Assessment of Aneuploidy markers in the first trimester. How to perform and how to interpret” and “Doppler velocimetry for fetal vitality assessment: How to perform and how to interpret”.
The coordinator of this course, Dr. Sergio Kobayashi, reveals that the expectation is to learn in a light and relaxed environment. "O hands on of Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine will address two very relevant topics in daily practice. We will have the participation of important professors in the area of Fetal Medicine. The entire team will be on hand to answer questions and show how the exams can be performed and interpreted, in a very informal and relaxed atmosphere”, he says.
Composing the coordination with Dr. Sergius, Dr. Benito Ceccato emphasizes the importance of interaction between professors and congress participants during the course: “Congress participants, in addition to the scientific program carefully prepared by CBR and the presentation of the best themes of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR), they will be able to learn during the hands on with direct interaction with the audience, clarifying doubts and demonstrating how to do it and what is important to observe in the exam. It is a unique opportunity to update and improve your knowledge”, he concludes.
In addition to the aforementioned courses, the CBR19 schedule will also offer an Intensive Update Course on Ultrasound of the Musculoskeletal System, coordinated by doctors Everaldo Gregio Junior and Ronaldo Magalhães Lins. The following courses also make up the curriculum: AVR, Bi-Rads®, Li-Rads®, Pi-Rads® and the SBNR Symposium – Imaging Assessment in Acute Ischemic Stroke, all with a Hands-On approach.
The Brazilian Congress of Radiology (CBR19) will take place at the Centro de Eventos do Ceará, in Fortaleza, from October 10th to 12th. Ensure your participation through the website www.congressocbr.com.br.
