The Brazilian College of Radiology and Image Diagnosis (CBR) released, last Friday (16), the opinion on the mandatory adoption of the TISS Standard in full by health operators governed by the National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS). The document was released in order to solve the doubts of members of the College/clinics/hospitals and Diagnostic Imaging services.
As provided for in article 6 of RN 497 of 03/30/2022: “The entire process of implementation and use of the Exchange of Information on Supplementary Health (TISS Standard) must be under the responsibility of a technical professional from the operator of private health care plans health, specifically designed to facilitate, streamline and coordinate services to the service provider network, which will act as an intermediary between the private health care plan operator and the service provider in the areas of account analysis and billing, as well as in the area of informatics.”
Below are some standout items:
1) Have a Supplementary Health Information Exchange Coordinator - TISS Coordinator;
2) Have a corporate portal with information on the entire implementation process and use of the TISS Standard;
3) Adopt a description of the TUSS procedures;
4) Provide webservice and portal for exam eligibility and authorization;
5) Provide payment statements and glosses in XML format
