Meet the professors and scientific staff of the 'CBR ESOR Asklepios Chest Course 2023 – Thoracic Radiology'

The 'CBR ESOR Asklepios Chest Course 2023 – Thoracic Radiology' by the European School of Radiology (ESOR), a partner of the Brazilian College of Radiology and Image Diagnosis (CBR) is getting closer. The classes will take place on the 24th and 26th of August, in Belo Horizonte (MG) and Salvador (BA), respectively.

The course returns to Brazil after three years without any editions, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and brings together a select team of professors, with some of the greatest Brazilian and European specialists.

Dr. Annemiek Snoeckx

Annemiek was born in Belgium, is a professor, Chair of the Department of Radiology and coordinator of the Residency Program at the University Hospital of Antwerp, Belgium. He is an active member of European Society of Radiology (ESR) and team leader of the Thoracic Radiology Written Assessment Committee for the European Diploma in Radiology (EDIR).

doctor Arthur Soares Souza Junior

He was born in Brazil, is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of São José do Rio Preto (FAMERP) and director of Ultra X: Diagnostic Medicine São José do Rio Preto (SP).

Dr. Galit Aviram

She was born in Israel and is head of cardiothoracic imaging at Tel Aviv Medical Center. She is also Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Tel Aviv - Sackler School of Medicine, Chair of Imaging Section, with a doctorate in medicine from the University of Tel Aviv.

doctor Hans-Ulrich Kauczor

Born in Germany, he is director of the department of diagnostic and interventional radiology at University Hospital Heidelberg. He is also a professor of radiology and leader of the department of radiology at University of Heidelberg, Germany. In addition to being an executive member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR).

Dr. Melanie Greaves

She was born in the United Kingdom, is a cardiothoracic radiology consultant at the University of Manchester - NHS foundation trust, UK, Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Keele (United Kingdom), in addition to being an OSCE examiner for the Manchester Medical School.

doctor Pedro Paulo Teixeira e Silva Torres

He was born in Brazil, is a radiologist at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, a full member of the Brazilian College of Radiology and Image Diagnosis (CBR) and attended a master's degree in radiology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
